Based in Jinan –the capital city of Shan Dong Province, Shandong Airlines was founded in March 1994. In November of that year, the company began to operate its aviation business. The company was co-invested by 12 state-owned investment companies and enterprises. In 2000, the company was listed in Shenzhen Stock Market (B share).
Up to now Shandong Airlines owns 7 B737-30 aircrafts and 23 other plans (CRJ-200, SAAB-340), 110 air routes and more than 600 flights a week. The employment amounts to 800+, 85% of the staff has college education or above. 80% of the staff is under 35 year old and one third of them have been professionally trained in other countries. At the same time, the company also hires dozens of air experts from home and broad as technology consultants.
After 20 years of hard work, Shangdong Airlines has achieved a great success with excellent flight record, which made it one of the fastest-growing and most profit-generating airlines in China.
