Itinerary: Day 1 Arrival in Beijing (no meal)
Arrive at Beijing. Our guide will meet you at the airport & transfer to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.
Day 2 Beijing (B, L)
Full day sit-in-coach tour to the Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace.
1.The Tian'anmen Square: The largest city square in the world.
2. The Forbidden City: The largest imperial palace in China for 24 emperors’ reign during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years.
3.The Temple of Heaven: a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's bless of the whole nation.
4.The Summer Palace: built by Empress Dowager Cixi in Qing Dynasty, a masterpiece of Chinese garden architecture
Day 3 Beijing (B, L)
Full day sit-in-coach tour to the Great Wall, Ming Tomb (Chang Tomb).
1.The Great Wall: One of the great wonders in the world and the symbol of China.
2.Chang Tomb: the most magnificent of all 13 Ming Tombs.
Day 4 Beijing/Luoyang (B)
Free day for your own exploration. Transfer to train station to board overnight train to Luoyang.
Day 5 Luoyang (B, L)
Be met at the train station and transfer to have breakfast. Drive to Shaolin Temple to see the hometown of Chinese martial arts, visit Pagoda Forest and local Martial Art School.
1.Shaolin Temple: the cradle of Chinese martial arts (Kong Fu).
Day 6 Luoyang (B, L)
Visit Longmen Grottoes and take an early afternoon train to Xian. Be met and transfer to hotel.
1.Longmen Grottoes: first built 1500+ years ago, World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Day 7 Xian (B, L)
Sit-in-coach tour to the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Hua Qing Hot Spring and the Wild Goose Pagoda.
1.The Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum: one of the most important archaeological finds in the 20th century; an army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb since 2200 year ago.
2.Hua Qing Hot Spring: a popular attraction to enjoy the beautiful scenery and 3000-year history.
3.The Wild Goose Pagoda: the city emblem, which was first built in Tang Dynasty for the storage of Buddhist scriptures taken from India by Monk Xuanzang.
Day 8 Xian/Lhasa (B)
Take a morning flight to Lhasa. Be met and transfer to hotel. Free time for acclimatization.
Day 9 Lhasa (B, L)
Full day tour to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhore Street.
1. The Potala Palace: Rising 170 meters high on Red Hill, it is the greatest monumental structure in Tibet.
2.The Jokhang Temple: the spiritual center of Tibet.
3.The Barkhor Street: the oldest street in Lhasa as well as the center of old Lhasa.
Day 10 Lhasa (B, L)
Full day trip to Trupeng Monastery, Norbulingka and The Tibetan Dance & Song Show.
1. The Tsepung Monastery: It is one of the biggest monasteries in Tibet.
2.The Norbulingka Park: meaning "Treasure Park", first constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama, and later served as the whole governmental administration.
3.The Tibetan Family: Common Tibetan people welcome you to their homes, greet you in their traditional way and entertain you with their typical food.
Day11 Lhasa/Gyantse (B, L, D)
Drive from Lhasa to Gyatse (about 190km). On the way see Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier and Kambala Pass (altitude 4800m) + Karola Pass (altitude 5010m). Stay at Gyantse Hotel.
1.Yamdrok Lake: one of the four famous holy lakes in Tibet.
Day 12 Gyantse (B, L, D)
Gyantse to Shigatse (mileage 90km) by car. Visit Phalkhor Monastery + Kumbum Stupa + Tashilunpo Monastery. Stay at Shigatse Hotel.
1.Phalkhor Manstery: the only temple in Tibet housing monks from different religious sects.
2.Kumbum Stupa: Standing on its top, you can have a nice view of Gyantse
3.Tashilumpo Monastery: first built in 1447, the headquarter of Panchen Lama.
Day 13 Shigatze/Lhasa (B, L)
Drive along the Yaluzangbu River back to Lhasa (350km).
Day 14 Lhasa/Chengdu (B, L)
Take a morning flight to Chengdu, be met and transfer to visit Giant Panda Breeding Center. Stay at Chengdu overnight
1.Giant Panda Breeding Center: First opened in 1987, a semi-wild area where those lovely China’s ambassadors can be allowed to freely roam
Day 15 Chengdu/Lijiang (B, L)
Drive to visit Dujiangyan Irrigation System, Qingcheng Mount (cable car included). Take an evening flight to Lijiang.
1.Dujiangyan Irrigation System: 2200+ year old water conservation project, still in use for irrigation and flood-controlling.
2.Qingcheng Mount: a famous Taoist holy mountain, together with Dujiangyan Irrigation System were listed as Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
Day 16 Lijiang
Drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to take a cable car to Yak Meadow. Then visit Yu Feng Lamasery and Baisha Mural.
1.Jade Dragon Snow Mountain: the holy mountain of local Naxi People, the soul of Lijiang.
2.Yu Feng Lamasery: first built in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), a mixture style of Han, Naxi and Tibetan architecture.
3.Baisha Mural: It was painted in Baisha Town in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), an interesting co-existence of Buddhism, Taoism and Lamaism in the artworks.
Day 17 Lijiang/Dali (B)
Free morning for your own exploration. Transfer to take express bus to Dali. Be met and transfer to hotel.
Day 18 Dali (B, L)
Take a cruise at Er Lake, visit Bai people’s Town – Xizhou and try local 3-course tea, a tie-dye workshop.
1. Er Lake: 250 square kilometers in size with a pretty view of Mountains, islets and local fishermen’s life
2. 3-course tea: a traditional tea ceremony of Bai people to entertain their guest.
Day 19 Dali/Kunming by train (B)
Free morning for your own exploration. Take an afternoon train to Kunming. Be met and transfer to hotel.
Day 20 Kunming/Guilin (B, L)
Tour to Stone Forest, take an afternoon flight to Guilin, be met and transfer to hotel.
1.Stone Forest: the most famous tourist attraction in Kunming – a typical formation of Karst topography.
Day 21 Guilin/Yangshuo by boat (B, L)
Take a leisurely cruise down Li River, disembark at Yangshuo. Walk to check in hotel.
1.Li River Cruise: a wonderful 3.5 hour cruise going down a clear river sided by picturesque scenery. Lunch on board.
Day 22 Yangshuo (B)
Free day at leisure.
Day 23 Yangshuo/Guilin/Guanghzou by train (B)
Be met in the early afternoon to drive back to Guilin and visit Reed Flute Cave and have a walk around the city central lake. Then transfer to board overnight train to Guangzhou.
1. Reed Flute Cave: fantastic stalactites & stalagmites formation, known as “Natural Art Gallery”
Day 24 Guangzhou/HK (B, L)
Be met at the train station and transfer to have breakfast. Visit Clan Chen Ancestral Temple and Five Ram Statue. Take an afternoon train to HK. Be met and transfer to hotel.
1. Clan Chen Ancestral Temple: first finished in 1894, best preserved architecture with strong taste of southern China
2. Five Ram Statue: the symbol of Guangzhou
Day 25 Hong Kong (B)
