Kunming Wujiaba International Airport

Kunming Wujiaba International Airport is located at southeast of the city. It is an air transportation center of Southwest China. First built in 1923, the airport saw 3 major expansions and redevelopments in 1958, 1993 and 1998 respectively.

The airport has a 3600-meter-long runway available for Boeing 747 and Airbus A340 to land. The apron covers an area of 250,000 meter2. Up to now, it has established business ties with 18 domestic and international airlines. The 167 air routes connect 57 cities at home and 17 cities abroad.

At the present, Chinese and the government of Asean countries are working together to achieve the goal of Sino-Asean Free Trade Zone. As the travel hub of Southwest China, Kunming International Airport is making more and more contributions to the development.
