Nowadays, Chinese attitude towards tipping has been changed. Although the practice is not officially recommended, gratuities are now widely accepted by travel guides, tour bus drivers, and porters in tourist hotels in recognition of their good service. However, tipping is still not expected in most restaurants or bars (the ones in hotels will charge 10-15% service fee).  

China Tour Hub does not include tips in the tour price. If you are travel independently, we suggest $10-20 per day as tips for tour guide and half of that for the driver, and about $1-2 for hotel bellboys as a gratitude for their service when you are traveling in a small party like 2 to 5 members.
