Day 1

Activity:	Arrive in Beijing. Our guide will meet you at the airport.

Day 2

City:	Beijing
Activity:	Full day sit-in-coach tour to the Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace.
Attractions:	Tian'anmen Square Named after the Ming dynasty gate at the northern part, with the huge portrait of Mao on it; it is the world's largest public square, with national flag raised at dawn and lowered at dusk on a daily basis. Forbidden City Served as Palace Museum now, it is the largest imperial palace in the world, once home to 24 emperors and the magnificent architectures and royal gardens well-left. Temple of Heaven A master piece of architecture of Ming Dynasty, served as an exclusive altar for the emperors to worship the Gods; there many locals practice in the mornings. Summer Palace Located at the shore of Kunming Lake, it was once the summer retreat of the emperor, combining water, hill and grand complex.

Day 3

Activity:	Full day sit-in-coach tour to the Great Wall, Ming Tombs (Chang Tomb).
Attractions:	Great Wall Ancient world wonder, stretching thousands of miles; the giant stone & brick dragon, winding through the lofty mountains, great rivers and boundless deserts, offers great hiking experience and breath-taking scenery. Ming Tombs Located outside Beijing City, 13 tombs in total; each held the body of one emperor and his wives, with many stone carvings, palatial buildings and numerous funerary treasures inside.

Activity:	Free day for your own exploration. Transfer to train station to board overnight train to Luoyang.

Day 5

Activity:	Be met at the train station and transfer to have breakfast. Drive to Shaolin Temple to see the hometown of Chinese martial arts, visit Forest of Dagobas and local Martial Art School.
Attractions:	Shaolin Temple The birthplace of Chinese martial arts; Founded in the 5th century, Shaolin Temple is known in and outside of China for Shaolin Kung Fu. One of the more interesting sights is the Forst of Dagobas; each dagoba was built in memory of a monk. Forest of Dagobas Outside the walls past the Shaolin Temple, it gets the name for over 240 pagodas. It keeps the remains of the deceased abbots and other eminent monks. The pagodas vary in appearance and are from one to seven stories high, the highest being 15 meters.

Day 6

City:	Luoyang - Xian
Activity:	Visit Longmen Grottoes and take an early afternoon train to Xian. Be met and transfer to hotel.
Attractions:	Longmen Grottoes One of the three most famous ancient sculptural sites in China (along with the Mogao Caves and Yungang Grottoes); From north to south, the distance covered by grottoes is about 1 km. Nearly 110,000 Buddhist images and statues still exist today.

Day 7

City:	Xian
Activity:	Sit-in-coach tour to the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Hua Qing Hot Spring and the Wild Goose Pagoda.
Attractions:	Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses The miraculous archeological discovery in last century, famed as the world’s eighth wonder; over 8,000 life-size, vivid statues were lined in battle formation. Each figure shows various facial expressions as well as their hair styles and accessories. Hua Qing Hot Springs Wild Goose Pagoda A well-preserved pagoda from the Tang Dynasty in the Temple of Great Maternal Grace (Da Ci'ensi); built to house the Buddhist scriptures brought back from India by the travelling monk Xuan Zang.

Activity:	Take a morning flight to Lhasa. Be met and transfer to hotel. Free time for acclimatization.

Day 9

City:	Lhasa
Activity:	Full day tour to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street.
Attractions:	Potala Palace Once the centre of the Tibetan government and winter resident of the Dalai Lama; as the one of the architectural wonders of the world, the palace is 13 storeys tall and contains thousands of rooms, shrines and statues. Jokhang Temple Built to commemorate the marriage of the Tang princess Wen Cheng to King Songtsen Gampo 1,300 years ago; for housing a pure gold statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni brought to Tibet by the princess, Lhasa enjoys a reputation of "Holyland". Barkhor Street Essentially as a pilgrim circuit, which is followed clockwise around the periphery of the Jokhang, it’s also a hive of market activity now. Walking around the street, you can experience the religious mystery and a Tibetan-style stock exchange.

Day 10

Activity:	Full day trip to Drepung Monastery, Norbulingka and The Tibetan Dance
Attractions:	Drepung Monastery Drepung means "rice heap" in Tibetan language, a symbol of prosperity. Covering a area of 200,000 square meters, it was once the largest monastery in the world. Now the monastery, with Tibetan religious architectural features, is Tibet’s biggest o Norbulingka Also known as “Pearl Garden”, it’s used to be the summer residence of the Dalai Lama. The pleasant park contains small palaces, chapels and a zoo. It’s the largest and best one among Tibet’s man-made gardens.

Day 11

City:	Lhasa - Gyatse
Activity:	Drive from Lhasa to Gyatse (about 190km). On the way see Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier and Kambala Pass (altitude 4800m) Karola Pass (altitude 5010m).
Attractions:	Yamdrok Lake With the name itself meaning "Swan Pond", it’s one of Tibet’s four largest sacred lakes. It is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains and fed by numerous small streams. According to local mythology, the lake is the transformation of a goddess. Karola Glacier Due to smoke pollution from motor vehicles, the entire glacier is now divided into black and white layers, which gives a fantastic beauty to the masterpiece of nature. Visitors can even appreciate this amazing glacier beside the road. Kambala Pass With an elevation of 4794 meters, the pass covered with snow all year. It offers a good glimpse of Yamdrok Lake. And the world highest radar station, the Kambala pass, stands in the harsh natural environment. Karola Pass With 5,036 meters above the sea level, Karola Pass is a nice place to appreciate the fantastic scene of Karola glacier. Not far from the Pass, there exists a well-known water power station—Manla water power station.

Day 12

City:	Gyantse - Shigatse
Activity:	Gyantse to Shigatse (mileage 90km) by car. Visit Phalkhor Monastery, Kumbum Stupa, Tashilunpo Monastery.
Attractions:	Phalkhor Monastery Firstly built in 1427, Palkhor Monastery is an architectural masterpiece of typical Lamaseries at Rear Tibet. The uniqueness is that the monastery houses 3 different sects of Tibetan Buddhism under the same roof. Kumbum Stupa Kumbum Stupa, a masterpiece of the joint efforts of Nepalese, Tibetan and Chinese, is the landmark of Gyantse. It is the world famous 9-storey 100,000-Buddha Stupa with a special strange form. Approximately 70 chapels are housed in the stupa. Tashilunpo Monastery As one of the biggest monasteries in Tibet, Tashilunpo Monastery was founded in 1447 by Gendun Drup，the First Dalai Lama. Even far from the Shigatse, you can see the gold roof of Tashilunpo Monastery shinning under the sunshine.

Day 13

City:	Shigatse - Lhasa
Activity:	Drive along the Yaluzangbu River back to Lhasa (350km)
Attractions:	Yaluzangbu River Yaluzangbu River, the largest river in Tibet plateau, is the highest river in the world. Like a silver dragon, it turns and twists through the Yaluzangbu canyon, the deepest canyon in the world.

Activity:	Take a morning flight to Chengdu, be met and transfer to visit Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. Stay at Chengdu overnight.

City:	Chengdu - Lijiang
Activity:	Drive to visit Dujiangyan Irrigation System, Qingcheng Mount (cable car included). Take an evening flight to Lijiang.
Attractions:	Dujiangyan Irrigation System Known as the world's oldest diversion project without a dam, it still feeds a grid of irrigation canals watering thousands of hectares of farmland, turning the province into the country's famous land of abundance since ancient times. Mt. Qingcheng one of the four famous Taoist Holy Mountains; also famed as "the most tranquil place under heaven"; listed as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO together with Dujiangyan Irrigation Project.

Activity:	Drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to take a cable car to Yak Meadow. Then visit Yu Feng Lamasery and Baisha Mural.
Attractions:	Jade Dragon Snow Mountain The holy mountain - "God of Sanduo" of Naxi people; it stretches 35 km from north to south with 960-square-kilometers of snow-capped area. Looking from afar, you can see that the mountain just looks like a huge dragon lying in the cloud. Yu Feng Lamasery The main attraction of the monastery (established in 1756) is an camellia tree, known as "the king of camellia", with thousands of flowers blossom group by group every year. The tree is believed to have a magical power to bless the young lovers. Baisha Mural Painted in Baisha Town in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it’s a wonderful sight with their smooth lines, bright colors, vivid pattern and harmonious composition. The mural is an interesting co-existence of Buddhism, Taoism and Lamaism in the artworks.

Attractions:	Chen Family Temple Chen Family Temple is a museum with masterpieces of the traditional crafts. Covering an area of 15,000 square meters, the temple is an excellent example of Chinese architecture and intricate decoration. Five Ram Statue The Five Ram Statue is the emblem of Guangzhou City. It is rich in poetic and pictorial splendor, and named after a legend of five lucky rams turning into stone.
