Day 1

Activity:	Arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport. Our guide will greet you at the exit of Arrival Hall and transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2

Activity:	Full day trip to the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven.
Attractions:	Tiananmen Square Named after the Ming dynasty gate at the northern part, with the huge portrait of Mao on it; it is the world's largest public square, with national flag raised at dawn and lowered at dusk on a daily basis. Forbidden City Served as Palace Museum now, it is the largest imperial palace in the world, once home to 24 emperors and the magnificent architectures and royal gardens well-left. Temple of Heaven A master piece of Ming-dynasty architecture; it served as an exclusive altar for the emperors to worship the Gods. There are many local practices in the mornings in the park.

Day 3

Activity:	Full day trip to the Great Wall and Ming Tombs. Enjoy a famous Peking Duck Banquet for dinner.
Attractions:	the Great Wall Ancient world wonder, stretching thousands of miles; the giant stone & brick dragon, winding through the lofty mountains, great rivers and boundless deserts, offers great hiking experience and breath-taking scenery. Ming Tombs Located outside Beijing City, 13 tombs in total; each held the body of one emperor and his wives, with many stone carvings, palatial buildings and numerous funerary treasures inside.

Activity:	Visit the Summer Palace, and 3-wheel rickshaw tour to Hutong. Transfer to train station and take an overnight train to Taiyuan.
Attractions:	Summer Palace Located at the shore of Kunming Lake, it was once the summer retreat of the emperor, combining water, hill and grand complex. Hutongs the traditional living quarters of local people; they are formed by narrow alleyways, streets, courtyard houses, grey walls and tiles. Taking a rickshaw tours to get a glimpse of Old Peking Culture and pay a visit to a local family.

City:	Taiyuan - Pingyao
Activity:	Be met and transferred to have breakfast, visit Jinci Temple, Qiao Family courtyard, and proceed to Pingyao.
Attractions:	Jinci Temple Located in Taiyuan city, Shanxi Province, Jinci temple features ancient sacrifice architectures, gardens, sculptures, frescoes, and stele-carving. It is consider a perfect combination of historical relics and beautiful landscapes. Qiao Family courtyard Qiao Family Courtyard House was first built in Qianlong Period, and reflects residential style of big families in feudal society in north of China. Well-knit arrangement and exquisite architecture make it the nice tourism spots in Shanxi Province.

Day 6

City:	Pingyao - Xian
Activity:	Visit Ancient town, Shuanglin Temple. Take an overnight train to Xian.
Attractions:	Pingyao Ancient City The town once served as a bustling economic center of feudal China. Rich in various valuable cultural relics and historic sites, it was named as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in1997. Shuanglin Temple Double Forest Temple was originally built during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534 AD). Famous for its collection of over 2,000 decorated clay statues, it was included in the World Heritage Site of Pingyao.

Day 7

City:	Xian
Activity:	Be met at the train station, and transferred to hotel for breakfast. Visit the Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, and the Big Goose Pagoda.
Attractions:	Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses The miraculous archeological discovery in last century, famed as the world’s eighth wonder; over 8,000 life-size, vivid statues were lined in battle formation. Each figure shows various facial expressions as well as their hair styles and accessories. Big Goose Pagoda A well-preserved pagoda from the Tang Dynasty in the Temple of Great Maternal Grace (Da Ci'ensi); built to house the Buddhist scriptures brought back from India by the traveling monk Xuan Zang.

City:	Xian - Luoyang
Activity:	Visit Old City Wall, and old city quarters. Transfer to take an early afternoon train to Luoyang. Be met and transfer to hotel.
Attractions:	Xian City Wall The most intact ancient fortifications in China, including moat, hanging bridge, gate towers and turrets; walk up to the top of the wall, riding bikes on it and have a wonderful view of Xian and Bell Tower.

Day 9

Activity:	Drive to Shaolin Temple to see the hometown of Chinese martial arts, visit Pagoda Forest and local Martial Art School.
Attractions:	Shaolin Temple The birthplace of Chinese martial arts; Founded in the 5th century, Shaolin Temple is known in and outside of China for Shaolin Kung Fu. One of the more interesting sights is the Forst of Dagobas; each dagoba was built in memory of a monk. Pagoda Forest Outside the walls past the Shaolin Temple, it gets the name for over 240 pagodas. It keeps the remains of the deceased abbots and other eminent monks. The pagodas vary in appearance and are from one to seven stories high, the highest being 15 meters.

City:	Luoyang - Shanghai
Activity:	Visit Longmen Grottoes. Take an afternoon flight to Shanghai. Be met and transferred to hotel.
Attractions:	Longmen Grottoes One of the three most famous ancient sculptural sites in China (along with the Mogao Caves and Yungang Grottoes); From north to south, the distance covered by grottoes is about 1 km. Nearly 110,000 Buddhist images and statues still exist today.

Activity:	Visit Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai Museum, and the Bund (Nanjing Road).
Attractions:	Yuyuan Garden A charm and quiet garden located in the city heart of Shanghai separated travelers from the bustling street; it is a classical Chinese architectural marvel with traditional pavilions, bridges and rocks inside. Shanghai Museum The treasure house of Chinese culture, homes to more than 120,000 precious and rare collections including bronzes, sculptures, ceramics, paintings, coins, ancient furniture, seals, minority culture and so on. the Bund The icon of Shanghai, located at the waterfront of Huangpu River, with enchanting western-style architectures. Stroll down into the area in different period of one day to see taichi playing in the mornings and colorful neon lights at nights. Nanjing Road A bustling pedestrian road with lots of shopping malls, unique designed buildings, stores, restaurants and hotels along the lane. Nice place for shopping and feel the vibe of Shanghai at the same time.

Activity:	Drive to Zhujiajiao to see an ancient water town. Free afternoon.

Activity:	Visit Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, Qingyang Palace, Jinsha Site Museum.
Attractions:	Giant Panda Breeding Research Base semi-wild area where those lovely China's ambassadors can be allowed to freely roam. Qingyang Palace A magnificent and grand Taoism temple, got its fame for the two blue-green goats made of bronze in the Sanqing Hall inside the temple; it still attracts numerous worshippers every year. Jinsha Site Museum It is a theme museum which concentrates on the Jinsha Site, the most significant archaeological discovery of China in the 21st century. Compared with other sites in the same period, it houses the most unearthed gold wares, jade wares, and ivories.

Activity:	Full day tour to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street.
Attractions:	Potala Palace Once the centre of the Tibetan government and winter resident of the Dalai Lama; as the one of the architectural wonders of the world, the palace is 13 storeys tall and contains thousands of rooms, shrines and statues. Jokhang Temple Built to commemorate the marriage of the Tang princess Wen Cheng to King Songtsen Gampo 1,300 years ago; for housing a pure gold statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni brought to Tibet by the princess, Lhasa enjoys a reputation of "Holyland". Barkhor Street Essentially as a pilgrim circuit, which is followed clockwise around the periphery of the Jokhang, it’s also a hive of market activity now. Walking around the street, you can experience the religious mystery and a Tibetan-style stock exchange.

Activity:	Full day tour to Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and visit the Tibetan Family.
Attractions:	Drepung Monastery Drepung means "rice heap" in Tibetan language, a symbol of prosperity. Covering a area of 200,000 square meters, it was once the largest monastery in the world. Now the monastery, with Tibetan religious architectural features, is Tibet’s biggest o Sera Monastery Named after the wild rose flowers grown on the slope of mountains nearby; It preserved thousands of Buddha statues, mostly produced in Tibet. The debates on Buddhist scriptures are held here, which is a distinctive from other monasteries in Lhasa.

Activity:	Take flight to Zhongdian. Visit Nixi Pottery Village, and Old Town.
Attractions:	Nixi Pottery Village Nixi Pottery Village is the most "Shangri-la" part of Shangri-la. It is a nice place for tourists to visit for the typical rural sight and well-known hand-made pottery, which has a history of 1,000 years.

Activity:	Drive to Lijiang. Visit Tiger Leaping Gorge on the way. Bet met and transferred to hotel.
Attractions:	Tiger Leaping Gorge known for its magnificent odd, is the world famous Grand Canyon. Although it brings much inconvenience to the shipping, it bears a thrilling and sublime beauty, which has attracted so many brave explorers to adventure here.

Activity:	Drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to take a cable car to Cloud Fur Meadow. Then visit Baisha Mural and Lijiang Old Town.
Attractions:	Jade Dragon Snow Mountain The holy mountain - "God of Sanduo" of Naxi people; it stretches 35 km from north to south with 960-square-kilometers of snow-capped area. Looking from afar, you can see that the mountain just looks like a huge dragon lying in the cloud. Baisha Murals Painted in Baisha Town in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it’s a wonderful sight with their smooth lines, bright colors, vivid pattern and harmonious composition. The mural is an interesting co-existence of Buddhism, Taoism and Lamaism in the artworks. Lijiang Old Town Known as "Oriental Venice", it’s an exceptional ancient town set in a dramatic landscape. The charming Old Town attracts more tourists for its traditional ethnic customs, inimitable buildings and wonderful natural scenery.

Activity:	Take a cruise at Erhai Lake, visit the nearby fishing village and Yan Family Compound, Batik Factory.
Attractions:	Erhai Lake Known as "pearl of the plateau", it’s the second largest freshwater lake in Yunnan. Bamboo rafting in the crescent-shaped lake, you’ll be in an atmosphere of peace and calm. Yan Family Compound A group of typical Bai residential buildings in Xizhou - the miniature of Bai society; Beautiful scenery, splendid culture and exquisite Bai architecture here attract countless visitors every year. Batik Factory The factory devotes itself to developing tie-dye art, manufacturing a wide variety of arts crafts for many years. Batik today is used for clothing, hangings, furnishing etc. It is not "pure" art but combined with other technique now.
